Cookie Policy

Version 2026-10-06 ยท Updated 2026-10-17

This explains what PocketHealth stores in your browser, why, and how to change it. It covers cookies and similar technologies such as browser storage and tracking pixels.

Strictly necessary โ€” always on

These make the site work. They are not used for advertising, and you cannot switch them off here because the site cannot function without them. They stay on your device and are not shared with advertisers.

Your sign-in session
Keeps you signed in. Set by our sign-in provider (Supabase) when you sign in, and removed when you sign out.
Daily usage count
Counts your conversations today so the app can show when you reach the daily limit. The limit itself is enforced on our servers.
Reminder flags
Remember that you dismissed this week's check-in prompt, or that you already added notes after a visit, so we don't ask twice.
Your cookie choice
Remembers whether you allowed analytics and advertising cookies, so the banner doesn't reappear on every visit.

Analytics and advertising cookies โ€” only if you allow them

With your permission, we use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to count visits to our public pages and learn which of them people find useful, and to count how many visitors who came from our ads on Google went on to create an account. Google is not allowed to use this to target or personalize ads: in Google's consent settings, advertising storage, ad user data and ad personalization stay switched off even after you choose Accept, and Google signals is off. Purchases are never measured in your browser; our server reports only that one was made and its amount, with nothing that identifies you, your browser or the ad you came from. Under some US state laws a third party measuring visits can still count as "selling" or "sharing" personal information, which is why it is off unless you choose Accept.

Only after you opt in
Nothing analytics- or advertising-related loads until you choose Accept on the cookie banner. Ignoring or closing the banner is not consent.
Only on public pages
These cookies run only on our public pages (the homepage and its sign-in and sign-up forms, our guides, and these policy pages) for visitors who are not signed in, and not on a page opened from a sign-in or password-reset link.
Never inside the app
They never run where your health profile, health record or conversations are shown, and they never receive your health information.
Global Privacy Control
If your browser sends a GPC signal, these cookies do not load at all and we treat it as your choice to opt out.

The cookies Google Analytics sets, on our domain, once you accept:

_ga
Google Analytics. Tells one browser's visits apart, using a random identifier. Expires after 2 years.
_ga_VWXE1DLH4N
Google Analytics. Keeps track of the current visit. Expires after 2 years.

Google Tag Manager sets no cookies of its own, and because advertising storage stays off, Google's advertising cookies (such as _gcl_au) are not set. Choosing Reject, or switching from Accept to Reject in Cookie Preferences, deletes these cookies from your browser, together with any older Google Analytics cookies such as _gid.

Advertising partners currently active: Google (Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, including counting sign-ups from our Google ads)

Other companies' pages and services

Stripe
When you pay, you are taken to Stripe's checkout page, which sets its own cookies under Stripe's privacy policy (stripe.com/privacy).
Google Fonts
Our pages load fonts from Google. Your browser requests them directly, so Google receives your network address. No cookies are set for this.
Termly
Our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service pages are displayed by Termly, which hosts them. Opening those pages sends your network address to Termly.

Changing your choice

Use the link at the bottom of our pages at any time. You can also clear site data in your browser settings, which removes everything listed above and signs you out.
